Project Overview
Özmert Algeria, a leading company in the mining and iron-steel sectors, sought a reliable energy solution for its factory in Algeria. Facing challenges in sourcing electricity from the local grid, Özmert engaged with NNG Energy to explore industrial energy solutions. Key Challenges
- Limited grid capacity in the region, allowing a maximum of 10 MW supply.
- The need for a sustainable and high-capacity energy source to support factory operations.
Solution
NNG Energy conducted an on-site assessment and identified the energy requirements of Özmert Algeria’s factory. Based on this evaluation, four Taurus 60 T7301 (20.8 MW) gas turbines were selected and installed. This solution increased the factory’s energy capacity to 120 MW, effectively meeting its operational needs.
