Project Overview
Altınmarka, one of the world’s leading industrial cocoa and chocolate manufacturers, aimed to enhance its energy efficiency while maintaining its commitment to sustainable production. To achieve this, the company partnered with NNG Energy to integrate a high-efficiency cogeneration system into its Esenyurt/İstanbul/Türkiye production facility. This system was designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring a reliable and cost-effective energy supply.

Solution
NNG Energy developed and installed a 4.7 MWh gas turbine unit with an 11-ton/hour steam capacity at Altınmarka’s Esenyurt facility. This advanced cogeneration system efficiently converts natural gas into electricity while simultaneously generating steam for industrial use and heat for facility operations. By integrating this system into the existing energy infrastructure, Altınmarka optimized its overall energy efficiency.
